Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Clean nice waitress. I had sweet breads. Not every place makes this food. Was on point for me. Everyone has different taste. Rice good beans good tortillas good. I'm a customer for them. They have my loyalty as a patron . This was my first time Thier. If you know the west side or town this restaurant is located at the old western broiler establishment of Frio City road everything inside is still like the Western broiler"
"Service was A+, the guisada meat was soft but didn't have much flavor, cheese enchiladas were pretty good, the rice and beans were great! And the chips and salsa was great as well, I would come back again"
"Friendly staff, the place was clean and the food was delicious. I ordered a carne en su jugo after I tried it in Mexico for the first time and I was very impressed. Feels very authentic. The cheese enchiladas were delicious as well. The tacos are cheap for the size. Would recommend!"
"It is a great little place with friendly staff and delicious food. I have no idea what they season their fajitas with but wow they were good. The corn tortillas were also addictive."
"Today was the 3rd or 4th time coming here for lunch with some co-workers. Their barbacoa is delicious, first dish I had at this place, was off the chain. The other times I've been here, including today's visit, I had their Parrillada, which is also amazing and very delicious, never fails. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the waitresses are nice. Great spot for lunch if you're craving some traditional Mexican food at a mom and pop shop."
"Had two crispy chicken tacos without tomatoes. Was served with lettuce on the side along with two slices of tomato..ok. Person I was with had the huevos rancheros plate. She wanted ketchup on her eggs. She squeezed some out of the heinz bottle that was there and it was clearly barbeque sauce instead..?. She grabbed another heinz bottle from a nearby table. Same thing..barbeque sauce inside heinz ketchup bottle.. They should let customers know they're out of ketchup. We've replaced it with barbeque sauce! Maybe there's a shortage on heinz?! She did say eggs weren't bad with this..alrighty then!"
"You get free chips & salsa. The chicharrón and egg was crispy like I asked (they made an exception since only the chicharrón w/salsa version is on the menu.) The potatoes were (so perfectly soft), the refried beans tasted good. As you can see, the green salsa was my favorite as I put some, all over the chicharrón. The plates are service w/homemade flour or corn tortillas. I got the flour. I definitely will return."
"I’ve gotten food To go only chile relleno , chicken fajita place and al pastor taco menudo as well and all their food it’s delicious fresh made to order the tortillas are hands down ! I’ve tried a lot of these Mexican restaurants on the southside / west side so far I’m liking this one more"
